Plans and Services
ADP acts as an alternative to traditional in-house human resources or payroll departments by providing remote services for effective task management. Its basic plans offer payroll coverage suitable for businesses with anywhere from one employee to over 1,000 employees.
ADP offers a variety of additional services that are especially advantageous for mid-sized and larger companies. For comprehensive workforce management, ADP provides a time and attendance solution equipped with essential tools. To meet talent management needs, the company offers services for recruiting, hiring, employee management, and growth strategies. ADP’s employee benefits packages include benefits administration, retirement plans, group health insurance, business insurance, and workers’ compensation.
ADP offers two separate lines of payroll software tailored to various company sizes. For businesses with one to 49 employees, there’s RUN Powered by ADP. Conversely, Workforce Now is designed specifically for companies with 50 to over 1,000 employees.
RUN Packages
RUN Powered by ADP features four distinct offerings, each providing essential functionalities such as tax filing, payroll delivery, and direct deposit. To enable direct deposit, at least one employee must complete a W-2 form. Beyond these core features, the RUN payroll plans also include additional functionalities like a general ledger interface, new hire reporting to federal and state tax authorities, automatic recurring payroll, and online access to payroll information through mobile devices.
Workforce Now Packages
ADP offers three payroll solutions under Workforce Now tailored for large and midsized businesses. These packages feature real-time payroll data processing, error detection through a payroll dashboard, and the ability to make retroactive and prorated pay adjustments. Additional services include tax filing and payment options, built-in reporting tools, and various HR resources. HR tools encompass guides for onboarding and termination processes, employee self-service capabilities, employee development tracking, a customizable employee portal, and comprehensive HR recordkeeping.

Ease of Use
One of the key advantages of cloud-based platforms is their usability. ADP features intuitive wizards that guide you through the setup of payroll deductions and earnings, minimizing the risk of errors. The admin interface is streamlined, making it straightforward to search for and manage data or update information.
Managing payroll is efficient and can be accomplished in just a few steps. You enter the payroll data and then review a summary of entries for approval. If the company utilizes time tracking features, all recorded employee hours are automatically calculated, ensuring a seamless processing experience. The interface includes tabs that make it easy to toggle between employee and company records, generate reports, and communicate with employees through internal messaging.
